Nêveda (Nepeta cataria)

Também conhecida como erva-dos-gatos, gatária, e erva-gateira. Os gatos parecem ter uma ligação especial com esta erva. Procuram-na e relaxam com ela. A nêveda é usada na Ásia para acalmar tigres e leões em cativeiro, devido ao seu efeito relaxante. É também usada para alívio de várias queixas tais como dores menstruais, insónias e constipações. O sabor é muito agradável.

Efeitos

A nêveda é uma erva alucinógena ligeira e relaxante. Fumá-la ou beber um chá forte desta erva dá uma sensação agradavelmente calmante, e estimula a imaginação.

A nêveda é perfeita para um serão sossegado, para ouvir música ou descansar após um dia activo.

Uso

Para chá usa 25 gramas. Ferve durante algum tempo num litro de água, depois deixa repousar por 15 minutos. Filtra, adiciona mel ou açúcar a gosto.

Também podes dissolver uma colher de chá cheia num copo com água. A nêveda pode ser usada em combinação com galanga, damiana e raiz de valeriana.

When i didn't feel anything from the 25g i made tea on everything that was left (55g) and i still didn't feel anything. I honestly think that the feeling people get from it is placebo.

Didn't try to smoke it tho.”

“I smoked it through my new pipe, if you give too much of the herb in the pipe the smoke is gonna hurt your lungs badly.

Its better if u smoke it a few times but with only small amount of catmint.”

“made a really strong tea of the herb (25 g of herb soaked in 1 liter of boiling hot water for 15-20 minutes) and drank it on a near empty stomach. after 15-30 minutes i felt euphoria and extreme relaxation, like there was nothing anyone could possibly worry about. after an hour or so i started to feel very tired.
overall i would say this herb is perfect for the troubled sleepless head or just for a evening of superchill/relaxed ganjasmoking :D
